DIRECTIONS TO THE POND HOUSE

From the Doubletree Hotel in BristolTake Middle St and Pine St to Rte. CT-72 East/I-84 East in Plainville. Take the Rte. CT-72 East/I-84 East exit from Rte. CT-72 East&nbsp;&nbsp;10 min (5.8 mi) Traveling East on Rte. 84Take Rte. 84 exit # 44 (Prospect Ave.) At end of ramp, go through the stop sign to the traffic light, which is Prospect Ave.&nbsp;&nbsp;Take Left onto Prospect Ave. for (2) miles until it intersects with Asylum Ave. (eighth light).&nbsp; From Rte. 91, Traveling West on Rte. 84Take Rte. 84 exit #46 (Sisson Ave). At the end of ramp, go straight through traffic lights onto West Boulevard. Follow West Boulevard for 1 1/2 miles until it intersects with Prospect Ave. (second light).&nbsp;Take a Right onto Prospect Ave. Travel 1 mile until it intersects with Asylum Ave. (third light). AT ASYLUM AVETake Left onto Asylum Ave. for 1/4 mile, take first Left, which is Elizabeth Park entrance. The Pond House is the first building on the left. Park along the roads or in the parking lot just past the Pond House, next to the Greenhouse.

We met years ago through a mutual friend and added each other on Facebook. There was an instant attraction, and Aaron even drove 45 minutes just to meet me one night. From the very beginning, our conversations were easy and deep—we connected in a way that felt rare and real.&nbsp;Life had other plans at the time, and we lost touch for a few years, each exploring different paths and relationships. But in 2022, we reconnected—this time as friends. I (Becca) had just gotten clean from alcohol and was rebuilding my life. Our friendship felt safe, healing, and familiar.&nbsp;As we spent more time talking, I realized I was falling for him—despite my hesitation to start a new relationship. Aaron was steady, kind, and made me feel safe in a way I hadn’t felt before. On my birthday, June 3, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes without hesitation.&nbsp;A few months later, we moved in together, and life just started to feel like home. We made beautiful memories—like trips to Lake George and spontaneous casino adventures—but also shared quiet nights and deep talks that meant even more.&nbsp;In February 2023, we experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage. It was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced. But we walked through it hand in hand, supporting and loving each other through the grief.&nbsp;That fall, in September 2023, Aaron proposed—and I said yes to forever.&nbsp;We’re getting married on October 4, 2025, surrounded by the people who have supported us along the way. Our story is one of second chances, healing, and finding our way back to each other. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our journey with you.
