Our Wedding

<p>We can hardly believe this day is finally approaching!!Our story begins when Rebecca moved to Florida and started attending East Thonotosassa Baptist Church with her cousins, Bryan and Tabitha. Soon she began helping in the youth ministry, where she met Jake—then the Student Director. Working side by side in youth activities, Bible studies, and service projects, we discovered a shared love of sports, laughter, and serving others. Rebecca knew early on that Jake would be a lifelong friend, even if nothing more ever came of it; over the years that friendship grew into the love we now celebrate.On March 8, 2023 Jake shared with Becca how much she meant to him and asked if he could be her boyfriend. A few short days later Rebecca’s beloved G-ma passed away causing the majority of their first month of dating to be apart. God showed His grace and love with the perfect timing on coming together at a time we could grow together the most. We continued to serve together and spend our free time at theme parks. On November 29, 2025 Jake got down on one knee and proposed in front of the Christmas tree in downtown Plant City which is a special place for us. Our ideal Saturday would be spent going to Krazy Kup for coffee followed by getting Whistle Stop Cafe for lunch then walking around the shops. The proposal was memorable because the Christmas tree had not yet been and a train went by as Jake began to share his heart. It was still a beautiful moment that we were able to laugh and cry together. We have hit the ground running wedding planning ever since. We wanted to get married in March around our third anniversary and everything has fallen together for us to get married on March 22, 2026 at another special area for us in downtown Lakeland. We are so thankful to have each other to walk through life with as God guides our future!</p>
