Gavin and Bekah met at the former Lincoln Quad Dining Hall on Indiana State University’s campus a week into classes in August 2019. It was breakfast when Bekah’s friend and Gavin’s roommate, who were in class together, chose to sit together. Gavin and Bekah started talking and haven’t stopped since!
First time hanging out with our friends to play DND! Bekah played a Druid and Gavin played a Wizard that campaign didn’t get very far.
On Parents Weekend 2019 at Indiana State University, Gavin got the chance to meet Bekah's family and show them around Terre Haute. Little did he know they would be his in-laws 6 years later!
Their first official date was to the Headless Horseman Hayride at Conner Prairie for Bekah's birthday. Some of the highlights included walking through the Apple Store, drinking hot chocolate while watching The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, and seeing Gavin get so scared by the Headless Horseman he almost peed himself.
Bekah spent hours painting leaves on Gavin's costume. Which all paid off as they won "Cutest Couple" at the ISU Honors College's Annual Halloween Party.
Gavin was introduced to the Atkins's New Years Tradition of enjoying appetizers, leftover Christmas cookies, and toasting chocolate milk as the Time Square Ball drops. It goes without saying he was quickly a fan!
When the world went crazy and we all had to stay at home, they had to learn to be long-distance for awhile while Bekah was in Fishers, IN and Gavin was in Sullivan, IN. They stayed close by calling and video chatting a lot!
Gavin got a personal tour around the Atkins's hometown of Knoxville, TN. On this trip, he got to sightsee and meet Bekah's uncles and aunt. Now he's stuck with this crazy family!
Bekah got to enjoy Festivus and Christmas festivities with the Wright's. Grams made sure she had a stocking and a new Baby Yoda Christmas hat!
This special evening included sweet treats and working together on two halves of a painting. So fun!
One of the first family trips! This one was to Great Wolf Lodge and Kings Island.
The only surprise Gavin has ever pulled off! She said yes though!
Gavin was an honorary 4th or 5th roommate wherever Bekah lived because where she is he isn't far behind. During her senior year, there were many movie nights with matching themed dinners. So fun!
From the beginning of their relationship, the Wright's have always invited Bekah over and made her feel welcome with game nights, movie viewings, and lots of yummy gluten free food. So many great weekends together!
They moved into our first apartment in Terre Haute, IN with a lot of help for their AWESOME families. Gavin and Bekah knew our place was by each other's sides and they learned a lot here.
Bekah finished her Special Education degree with honors. Woohoo!
Gavin and Bekah got the opportunity to move to Richmond, KY. Now he can look at cows when he drives to work.
Gavin is on the road to becoming an Assistant Manager at the Richmond Menards. Save big money at Menards!
