The story goes all the way back to roughly 2001 when Rebekah's family moved to Bryan and found their church home at Beacon Baptist which was the same church John and his family attended. Over the years between then and now John and Rebekah's families have been close friends. After high school years, John and Rebekah both moved away from home and didn't really stay in touch. Some years later they reconnected and decided to give dating a try after a few months of talking. The first about 8 months was primarily long distance as Rebekah went to travel for work. John was supportive but both were looking forward to the day Rebekah would move home. Once home, their relationship continued to grow and on November 29th, 2024 John popped the question! Rebekah had no idea this was happening and it was the biggest and best surprise ever! It was perfect!
