Our Wedding

Ryan and Rebekah became friends at a school event after a freak accident in which a student broke their collarbone during a flag football game. This resulted in Ryan waiting by the sidelines where Rebekah walked up and asked what happened. The rest is history! They started talking and didn't stop until the event was over. They clicked instantly and were attched by the hip ever since! Whether it be grocery shopping, doing homework, or going to a coffee shop, they were going to do it together! Everyone around them could see that they were best friends. Ryan confessed his feelings first, and though Rebekah felt the same way, she was initially hesitant out of fear of ruining their friendship. However, soon after she decided to take the risk and Ryan and Rebekah began dating on November 13, 2023. They knew they wanted to spend forever together shortly after, and after saving up for a ring, Ryan proposed on January 11, 2025!!

Parking For Ceremony 

Parking for the ceremony will be available along Canal Street in the Mid-City neighborhood. If you're coming in from out of town—don’t worry! This is&nbsp;not the busy downtown Canal Street near the French Quarter. The church is located in a quiet, residential area where parking is generally easy to find. Canal Street Church has service every Sunday, and members have no trouble finding parking spots, so you shouldn't either! That being said, if you're not familiar with street parking, we recommend arriving a little early to give yourself plenty of time to park comfortably before the ceremony begins.

Parking for Reception 

Our reception will take place at the historic Napoleon House in the heart of the French Quarter. Because of the lively nature of the French Quarter, we recommend parking in one of the many nearby lots for convenience. You’re welcome to pay for parking the day of the event, but booking a spot in advance is usually the most affordable and stress-free. We’ve included a photo below highlighting several parking options close to the Napoleon House to help you plan ahead.Don't be intimidated—parking in the Quarter is very manageable, especially if reserved ahead of time! Please check your invitation—if your guest is listed, they’re invited! If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out.

What can I wear? 

Formal attire, but wear comfy dancing shoes!

How will parking work the day of the wedding? 

Our goal is to make parking as simple as possible for all of our loved ones coming to our special day! For the ceremony, there will be very accessible street parking at the church, and for the reception, we recommend parking in one of the many lots near The Napoleon House. When should I arrive at the ceremony?

We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes early in order to give yourself time to comfortably find parking and your seat before the ceremony begins.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location? 

No, the ceremony will be at Canal St. Church and the reception will be at the Napoleon House in the French Quarter!

Are you registered anywhere? 

Yep! You can find our registry on our website!

Will there be dinner and drinks? 

Yes! We’ll have a full meal with Hors d'oeuvres, main course, dessert, and drinks at the reception. Refer to our reception tab for more information about our menu to prepare ahead of time in case of any food intolerances. Please let us know if there is a food that would be dangerous for you to be around.

Are kids welcome? 

For the ceremony, yes! We love your little ones, and would love to have them attend our ceremony. However, due to venue limitations at our reception site, our reception will be adults only with the exception of children under the age of two as well as the children in our wedding party. We hope you can enjoy a fun night out!

A relaxing day on our favorite street!

If you are looking for a chill day of relaxing and exploring some of the local charms of the city, Ryan and Rebekah recommend that you go to Oak Street and check out the famous Blue Cypress Books, where you not only get to browse books, stickers, and fun local art, but you get to say hi to the adorable shop kitty, Kitty Meow! If comic books are more your speed, check out More Fun Comics, only a short walk down from Blue Cypress! Next, head over to Rue De La Course, a beautiful bank turned into a unique coffee shop, and take some time to read the books and comics you just bought! Now that you're a little hungry, you can walk down the street just a little further and head to Juan's Flying Burritos, where you'll find a creole taqueria and some of the most unique burritos you've ever had! Now that the sun has almost set and it is a little cooler outside, take a short ride down to Audobon Park, where Ryan and Rebekah got engaged! Take a stroll and enjoy the way the setting sun looks shining through the majestic New Orleans oak trees, maybe even sit on one of the benches next to the water and watch the ducks! If you want to make your experience even more New Orleans, leave your car at your hotel and take the street car!

Our Fav. Restaurants: 

Joey K's: One of our fav creole restaurants on Magazine Street. It's a must if you are in town visiting! Suko Thai: Super amazing Thai restaurant. The Drunken noodles, yellow curry, and green curry are our favs. Blue Oak: A must if you are a BBQ fan. Don't sleep on the brussel sprouts!! Rock n Sake: Delicious sushi restaurant with great ambiance. Locations in the French Quarter and Metairie! Maple St. Cafe: Amazing little authentic Italian restaurant. If you are craving comfort food, this is the spot to go Dat Dog: Did you even come to Nola if you didn't go to Dat Dog? Get any hot dog you want with any topping imaginable. Want crawfish etouffee on your hot dog? Done. Want a vegan bratwurst? You got it. You want blackberry jelly? They got it! And they have locations on freret and magazine!! Lil Dizzy's: Famous fav. for locals and tourists. Just ask Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Gordon Ramsay. Be sure to try their gumbo and potato salad! Turkey and the Wolf: If you are looking for a sandwhich place that takes weird and delicious and puts them together effortlessly to create the most unique sandwhich you've ever had, you've come to the right place. Oh and the owner was on Iron Chef so you're pretty much guaranteed a good meal.

Our Fav Coffee Shops: 

OLD ROAD COFFEE!!!!!: Not only is the best coffee shop EVER but you will also be met with the BEST BARISTAS EVER! Hey Kiki Jess Mike and Ross!!! Rue de la course: You might recognize this one from our little curated day for you at the top. This place is not only beautiful, but it has huge windows that you can look out of and enjoy the outside while being inside.
