Tyler and I met in the summer of 2012 at the Mercer County 4-H camp. There was immediate mutual attraction, and we talked off and on through the years. Different high schools, friends, and life paths kept us as just friends for many years.

We would talk every now and then just to say hey and check in. On September 28th, 2019 Tyler sent me a Facebook message to wish me a happy birthday. Through this conversation I learned that he was deployed. We continued to talk every day and on November 5th of that year, he asked me to be his girlfriend (while still over seas). I said yes and we had many long Skype calls over the next several months, and our original attraction continued to grow.

February 29th, 2020 (leap day) Tyler arrived back in Mercer County! He met me at the mall, I left there with him and we haven’t looked back since!

We have been through a global pandemic, sickness, loss, and many trying times. Our relationship has grown stronger with every challenge that we have faced. I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to work in our lives, and how we will grow together in our marriage!
