We met one night at one of our mutual friend’s birthday party. We all had a great time that night playing games and having fun. About a month past and we met back up, just me and him, to go on a little “date” to cookout. That night, we talked for hours upon hours not knowing where it would lead and how deep conversation would get. We talked about our favorite color to recent trials in our lives. We talked about our faith and how God sees things through in our lives and how he always has a plan even though we have no idea what it may be. From that moment, I knew that there was something very special about him. We started dating on August 23rd, 2021. Joe asked me to be his girlfriend by doing a fake proposal making me all teary eyed. Through all of our relationship, God has remained in the middle and center of our journey together. We have made each other stronger and pushed one another to be the best version of ourselves. From deciding to be together, making important decisions, finding teaching jobs, and deciding to both take a job at Houston in our desired positions; prayer, patience, and faith have been the foundation of our decision making.
