Reece and Ryan met during their 8th grade year.

On this crisp Fall day, while the rest of the 8th grade class was dealing with puberty, acne and fears of the unknown, Reece and Ryan were about to fall in love.

It was Ryan's first day at his new school. He walked through the door of his first classroom not knowing that on the other side was going to be the girl that would carry his heart his whole life. He also didn't know it would be the same girl who got the WHOLE class in trouble that day for asking him his name.

They became friends and during their 8th grade trip Ryan decided he wanted Reece to be his girlfriend. Her mom warned him that, "Reece is a lot of work", but Ryan knew all great things take a lot of work. So, Ryan got to work. A few months later, after a night of riding rides, hanging out and laughing at the Poke Sallet festival, Ryan decided to take the plunge and make Reece is girlfriend.

Fast forward seven years and their lives have been filled with so many adventures. Camping, beach days, lake weekends, cooking, mission trips and a whole lot of Gatlinburg trips.

From highschool to college to new careers, Ryan and Reece built a life together complete with two spoiled dogs. Finally, Ryan decided he wanted Reece to be his wife.

After a Nashville trip fell through, he carefully planned out exactly what he would do and planned a weekend getaway to Gatlinburg with Reece, her best friend Faith and Faith's boyfriend. They all had an amazing dinner, then took the ski lift up to the top of the mountain to Anekeesta, and on November 18th, Ryan proposed to Reece. He even surprised her by having her parents there to be a part of it!

From eighth grade, to 8 years, and now forever, here’s to always opening the door at just the right time! And speaking out no matter the consequences. :)
