Reese and George met on their very first day of college at Auburn University in their Elementary Italian class. Unbeknownst to Reese, George knew she was the one from the start, and before ever asking her out, all of George’s friends already knew of Reese as “Italy Girl.” After a few months of friendship and a few study dates, George finally asked Reese out following Auburn’s heartbreaking last minute loss to Alabama in the 2021 Iron Bowl. That Wednesday, Reese and George went on their first date to Fratelli’s, as recommended by their Italian professor, and from there, they were inseparable.

Reese ended up convincing George to abandon his business program’s study abroad in favor of the Italian study abroad program in Lucca, Italy, which ultimately led to both of them minoring in Italian. Since then, Reese and George have traveled the world together. From being interrogated by armed guards in Naples to being chased through the streets of Prague, Reese and George have been all over: Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, England, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, and Canada. In December of 2024, George proposed to Reese on their first day in Paris.

Currently, Reese is working on her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and George is working for Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Texas. We’re so excited for this next adventure together, especially with our new Italian Greyhound puppy, Weasel! ❤️
