When people ask us how we met, we usually say "we went to high school together" or " we saw each other at small group on Wednesdays"; however, our detailed story is more complex than being intertwined in our friend groups.

Trenton and I first became acquainted in 9th grade Biology, where in my eyes Trenton was the quiet and calm new kid in school. To me, he always seemed sweet but I gravitated towards the goofy crowd that made more of a ruckus in class. Trenton was not a fan of mine, in fact, he'd tell you I was rather of an annoyance to him! Oh how the tables have turned.

Sophomore year of high school, he had yet another class with me. I took it upon myself to text him and let him know! Who knew one text would lead to endless conversations consisting of lots of laughing, getting to know one another, and feeling butterflies like neither of us have ever felt before.

Trenton and I from that day forward were attached at the hip. After countless hour-long phone calls, school projects, and casual hall way walks, Trenton finally decided to ask me to be his girlfriend on January 5, 2015, also known as Trenton's 16th birthday. Although I was annoyed that our anniversary would be shadowed by his birthday every year, Trenton has never failed to make it the most special day to celebrate us. Even on the one day a year that's all about you, Trenton always made it about us. So why not continue the trend and get married on January 6, 2023?! We are grown up now and recognize a day later will help the separation of celebration (you can laugh, we know it's funny).

Fast forward to college, we decided to go long distance and make it work. Trenton would drive to Oklahoma almost every weekend he could to see me and when I moved home I would drive to Waco as much as I could to see him. No matter how much effort needed to be placed to make us work, Trenton always made it all seem like it was the easiest thing in the world.

We knew from a young age what we have is special, but it took losing each other to understand the gravity of our connection. After spending almost 1 full year apart and finding who we are without each other, God placed us back together in the most seamless and beautiful way.

Trenton is my world and I know I am his. We cannot wait to celebrate our love and start our forever with all of the amazing people who have supported us every step of the way.
