Our story has a typical beginning for our generation which includes swiping on dating apps. So romantic ;) It was almost luck that Regan & Patrick matched on this app because Patrick was about to delete the app & Regan rarely used it. Patrick noticed right away that Regan was someone he would be interested in. His first message to Regan was, "Cute and catholic?" two important qualities to him. This message caught Regan's eye because this was not the typical message from a guy on this app. Patrick seemed genuine and interested in a relationship so Regan quickly gave him her number. Regan realized that plenty of girls probably give him attention right away, but Regan wanted to be different and play a little hard to get. A couple months pass and the two continue to get to know each other over text without a date. Finally on a cold February night, Patrick asks Regan on a date where the two meet up at Marian and go to dinner. After dinner, they continue to hang out where they both realize how much they have in common and are curious to see where this relationship could go. Safe to say, the relationship took off pretty quickly. After that first date, Regan & Patrick have only spent three weekends apart and seem to be inseparable.
Over the past two years, we have navigated graduating college, Patrick attending graduate school, moving to a new city, getting a great dane puppy, and settling into our careers. These times are some of the most exciting, but also some of the most stressful. Together we have been able to accomplish goals and grow together as a couple while sharing so many laughs and memories. It has been tough, but so worth it.
A note to Patrick,
From the moment I met you, I knew you had a heart of gold. You have shown me unwavering love, even when I may not deserve it. You are so driven in every aspect of life and I am in awe of your work ethic. I love your goofy self and how you can always make me laugh. Life is going to be so much fun with you. Thank you for helping me grow in my faith and create habits of going to Mass every Sunday together. I cannot wait to have a family with you and show our kids our love for each other and our love for life. I love you a million. Let's get married!!
Xo
A note to Regan,
I knew the first night I met you that you were something special. You may not remember, but what stood out that night is that you let me open up to you. I spent hours talking about my life, my family, my ambitions and so much more. You listened to every detail. Flash forward a year and a half later, here we are getting married. Life with you has shown me what I was missing before you. You push me to be better and I truly inspire to make you the happiest girl. I may not know the future and what’s ahead but I will ALWAYS be here for you Regan. Here’s to life together! Let’s get married!
