Jon first met Regina when she picked him up in her Ford Explorer and gave him and their friend Rachel a ride to their friend Katie's birthday party in October of 2010. She thought he was cute. He thought she was funny. Little did they know, that this chance encounter would turn into a life of romance. A little over a year later Jon asked Regina to attend McO'shea's Holiday Party with him, and the rest as they say, is history.Regina and Jon moved in together in the fall of 2012, forming a new family with their pets Pippin and Tiger. Together Regina and Jon explored the food, music, culture, adventure and friends Maryland had to offer. One year later, they would move to Chicago.In Chicago Regina discovered a new passion, yoga. She studied to become a certified yoga instructor and began teaching yoga throughout the Chicagoland area. Jon earned his Master's in Counseling and started working as a therapist. Their love and devotion to each other continued to blossom while they grew as people. On Friday, September 23rd, 2016 Regina and Jon went for a date where she beat him at mini-golf. After some trash talk, they went to a romantic dinner at Buena Terra, the restaurant with Regina's favorite dessert in all of Chicago. When she ordered her dessert, she noticed a bright shiny green glow. Soon Jon was down on one knee, asking her to marry him. She said yes, and thoroughly enjoyed her profiteroles. Now, they are starting a new chapter of their life together in Lake Oswego, Oregon. They don't know what the future will bring, but they hope it's filled with friends, family, dancing, music, and joy. We look forward to celebrating with all of you. You the people in our lives are our most treasured gift, and we feel privileged to know you. Love and Cheers,Jon and Regina
