Our Wedding

Picture this, it’s 2021. You are still in the middle of COVID protocol. You’re in your mid-20s. The bars are still regulated and some still closed. You have watched every Netflix show that there was to watch. Well, this is how Matt and Reilly found themselves. In need of socialization, they did what any mid-20-year-old would do, they got to swiping on Hinge. They eventually matched, Matt gives his best one liner, “Hey, how are you?” and Reilly swooned. So much so, that when Matt FINALLY asked for her number, she accidentally gave him the wrong number (It was only off by one number, and I blame chubby fingers). Once that was fixed, Matt decided to pull out the big guns and ask her on their first date to a Carolina Hurricanes game. Despite having to wear masks the entire time both were sold on each other. He even pretended to “put in the wrong address” on the way home just to make the night last a little longer (smooth one, Matt). Fast forward 4+ years, through trips, family weekends, many sporting events and 17 weddings (yes, you read that right, 17 weddings) later Matt stole Reilly’s grandmother’s ring to get her engagement ring sized. They got engaged in Cary’s downtown park and have been looking forward to their special day ever since.

Beautiful place to walk around and it is a social district so you can grab a beer at one of the local breweries! There are great restaurants like Scratch, Zest, SAAP, or Di Fara. And, even better places to drink, like Bond Brothers, Cotton House,  The Walk Up and Tiki Brewing. Be sure to stop at Once In a Blue Moon and get some of their homemade pimento cheese and a pastry!
