Q + A

Can I bring a +1?

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, as well as to accommodate guests with small children, we simply can’t afford for everyone to bring a +1 of their own. If your name is on the invitation, you are invited!

Can I bring my kids?

Adult children will have received their own invitations. For any minors who want to attend, please contact us directly.

What are the formal dress code guidelines?

For women: a floor-length gown, sophisticated cocktail dress, or fancy pantsuit are all fine. No mini skirts. **If your chosen attire shows a lot of chest and/or back, please consider wearing a scarf, sweater, or jacket for the ceremony.** For men: a tuxedo is NOT required (and the groom won't be wearing one, so maybe don't upstage him!), but a formal suit and tie would be ideal; no "loud" colors, but we give you permission to be creative with the tie and socks.

What can I expect at a Catholic wedding?

Expect a longer ceremony. You will be attending a Catholic Mass with singing, readings, and prayers; standing, sitting, and kneeling! We have a wonderful priest AND an amazing *bishop* who will help make the experience as painless as possible, and we will provide programs so you can follow along. It will be about an hour.

Can I attend the ceremony if I am not Catholic?

Absolutely! We want you there with us <3 Keep in mind that the only thing you will not be able to do is receive communion; but you are more than welcome to go up with everyone else to receive the priest's blessing.

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Yes! We will have a small selection of beer and wine available, with champagne for toasting if you desire. Our budget allows for approximately two drinks per guest, after which the bar will change to a cash bar. Drinks will be served until about 8:30 p.m.

Where can I park?

St. Anthony's church has a large parking lot behind the church that will accommodate all guests. We do encourage carpooling between the ceremony and the reception, as Holy Family's parking lot is not as spacious, and there will be church-goers coming to a 7:00 p.m. Mass that evening. We've included a map of Holy Family below with parking areas circled. If you do not have mobility issues, we encourage you to park either on Lincoln St. or in the smaller lot on School St. first.
