We are honored to celebrate our special day at Diyanet Center of America: 9610 Good Luck Rd, Lanham, MD 20706
What should I wear?
Out of respect for the mosque and Islamic traditions:
~For women: Please cover your arms, legs, and hair while in the mosque. The mosque has a strict dress code that only allows for women to show their hands and face. A scarf for covering the hair is sufficient. In the dining hall, you may remove your head covering if you wish.
~For men: Kindly dress modestly (e.g. no shorts or
sleeveless shirts.)
We deeply appreciate your understanding and adherence to these guidelines.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to allow time for parking and finding the main prayer hall.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to the limited capacity of the mosque, we are only able to accommodate invited guests. Thank you for your understanding
What gifts would the couple like?
Your presence and prayers are the greatest gifts to us on this blessed day. However, if you feel inclined to give, monetary gifts would be appreciated, as we are moving after the wedding and cannot transport physical items.
Additional Information
~Seating: There will be separate seating arrangements for men and women during the ceremony, in line with Islamic customs.
~Etiquette Reminder: Please remember that the mosque is a place of worship. We ask that all guests conduct themselves respectfully and maintain a quiet and reflective atmosphere during the ceremony.
