Mat first saw Renée at her Sister's wedding in November of 2019 but wouldn't officially meet until a fateful softball game in June of 2020.

Renée and Mathew started dating officially at the end of June and all through the pandemic. They got to know each other very quickly due to pandemic induced isolation, and having to get creative finding anti-social dates through the lockdowns. They enjoyed many game and movie nights as well as walks in the park.

They moved in together during the summer of 2021 and got engaged in December 2022 at the top of Mt. San Jacinto in Palm Springs, CA.

Now they are living in their new home as of July 2023 and are looking forward to their next adventure together as husband and wife.
