Renee and Dylan both grew up in Danville, California and they attended Monte Vista High School. While they did not know each other at the time, their paths would soon cross at the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2018.

They first remember meeting each other at a house party during sophomore year. It wasn’t until a year later when their friend groups spontaneously merged on St. Patricks Day. After a year of spending time together as friends, Renee built up the courage to ask Dylan on a date during the holiday break of 2019. When they both returned back to Boulder, they had their first date. Their date consisted of Panera mac’n cheese and red wine. Little did they know this was just the beginning of their love story.

Renee and Dylan moved in to their first house together in Westminster, Colorado in 2021. Not long after moving in together they rescued an 11 month old Kelpie mix named Monty. Their partnership grew into a family overnight! For the next three years they learned more from each other and about each other. Each day, week, and month they continued to grow as a couple and as individuals. Renee went back to school to get her Masters degree and Dylan grew in his position in International Sales. For Renee and Dylan, they felt the transition into living under the same roof was seamless.

In the fall of 2024, Dylan and Renee went on an impromptu couples trip to Maui. Dylan saw this as a way to surprise Renee (and everyone on the trip) with a proposal! On September 21st, Dylan, Renee, and their best friends made their way to Makamaka’ole Falls. There, Dylan asked Renee to take a picture in front of the waterfall. Once on the rock, Dylan got down on one knee and asked Renee to marry him! Of course she said, “Yes!” The rest of the day was full of snorkeling, dolphins, and being celebrated by their closest friends and family!
