Reshma had always been a city girl at heart. She loved the hustle and bustle of New York, the endless opportunities for adventure and excitement. She lived for the fast-paced lifestyle, the late nights out with friends and family, and the never-ending list of things to see and do in the city that never slept.
Rajiv, on the other hand, although he was born in Queens, NY, was a small-town boy at heart. He moved with his family to Orlando, Florida, in 2001, where he spent some time enjoying the peaceful Florida life. But after landing a promotion, he decided to move to Denver, Colorado, to start a new chapter in his life.
It was September 2018 when Reshma and Rajiv’s worlds collided. Since then, their bond has been inseparable. Reshma and Rajiv relationship blossomed into something beautiful. Despite the distance between them, they made it work through late-night phone calls, video chats, and weekend visits whenever they could manage. Reshma flew out to Denver to explore the mountains and ski slopes with Rajiv while he traveled to New York to work on the houses
and visit family. They embraced each other worlds with open arms, eager to learn and grow together.
As the months passed, Reshma and Rajiv faced their fair share of challenges. The long-distance relationship was difficult at times, with moments of loneliness and longing for each others presence. But they never let it break them. They communicated openly and honestly, sharing their fears and insecurities while also celebrating their victories and milestones together.Their bond only grew stronger with each passing day.
One memorable weekend in February 2021, Reshma surprised Rajiv with a spontaneous trip to the Anguilla. As they walked on the beautiful beach, hand in hand, watching the sun set over the horizon Rajiv knew this was where he belonged – by Reshmas side.
On November 10th, 2021, Rajiv got down on one knee on the beach of Turks and Caicos and asked Reshma to be his wife. Tears of joy streamed down her face as she said yes, knowing that they were destined to be together forever. As they embraced each other in the glow of the New York skyline, they knew that their love story was just beginning.
Since then, it has been 5 and 1/2 years of world travels and adventures, sunny days down the shore, road trips to Massachusetts, eating enough seafood than a doctor would recommend,
and lots and lots of love.
We can’t wait to celebrate our love and history with you all in September!
