Rhett believes this love story started in college at CU when he caught a glance of Emily going home to her apartment across the hall from his friends.

HOWEVER... it took years and one brave, ambitious, young woman to finally make the first move and slide into Rhett's DM's. After endless threads of texts between the two Emily and Rhett finally decided to go on their first date to Union Lodge No.1 and it truly was love at first sight.

Soon after the world was flipped on its head and the two found themselves in a new relationship locked down by the world of Covid with no option but to spend the days and weeks in quarantine learning who each other were and loving the other more with each day. As controversial of a time as it was the reality for Emily and Rhett was it brought them together and they were in love and stronger from it.

Over the last 4+ years Emily & Rhett have enjoyed building the relationship through a love of outdoor adventure, being dog parents, searching for their next favorite restaurant (or through Rhett's cooking), spending time with family, and the melding of two amazing groups of friends.
