You might ask: so how did a quirky Jewish boy from LA living in Stockton for medical training unite with a sweet but ambitious, budding social worker from the Philippines who grew up in Stockton? Was it supernatural influence or the whims of an online dating app? Perhaps it was their shared love of boba and tacos, free samples at Costco, and hunting for furniture store deals --- all of which took place on the first date --- that allowed their romance to ignite. Five years and a child later, they realized maybe they ought to make things official. So, on a warm humid night on the balcony of a villa on the island of Boracay in the Philippines in November of 2023, Sam finally ushered up the courage to pop the question. Lo and behold, in spite of her plugged-up ears and Benadryl in her system, Rhina actually said "yes"! And the rest is history. So we invite you to come celebrate our unconventional love story with us in October 2026.

Our Story

We have a discounted room block reserved at both the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and TRS Coral Hotel with a variety of room types. Please note the resort requires a minimum stay of 3 nights. An arrival by October 4 would allow for the possibility of any travel delays. Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres is a family-friendly all-inclusive resort while TRS Coral Hotel is an adults-only all-inclusive resort located on the same property. You are welcome to add a private non-stop roundtrip transfer between the Cancun airport and the resort for $85.00 per person. You may instead find an alternative means of transportation but are encouraged to book this in advance through a reputable transit provider. For any questions regarding selecting your room type (substitutions may be made even if one is not included in the room block, subject to availability) or other travel inquiries, please feel free to reach out to our travel coordinator, André Verdayes at (877) 737-0177 Ext. 220. We would be incredibly honored to celebrate with you in Cancun but know international travel especially at this time of year may not be feasible for all our family and friends. Rest assured we will provide a live-streaming option so you can still enjoy our ceremony remotely.

Travel/Accommodations

Dear Family and Friends, While we love your little ones, we can only accommodate guests aged 15+ to attend our wedding celebration due to limited venue capacity. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party. However, you are more than welcome to bring your children to make this a family trip in Mexico, and recommend you consider the resort's childcare options during the wedding celebration. Baby sitting services rate: $30/hour per child plusan additional $40 surcharge if the service goes past 11 pm. There is a kids' club that is part of the resort. The Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres has a baby club (1-3 years old) and kids club (4-12 years old) that is open 9am - 4pm. If you are staying in the Grand Palladium's Family Selection suites, the kids' club (4-12 years old) is open 9am - 10pm, and is located in the Nest Restaurant, building 12. For babysitting services, reservations must be made at least one day in advance in order to be confirmed.
