Our story begins in Mesa Arizona, 2020. We had both just moved to go to Hillsong College. In the chaos of meeting new people and making new friends, we met each other over a game of Uno at a friend's house. Ethan always says that he knew from that moment that he wanted to get to know me, and now here we are, three years later, planning our wedding day. It is crazy to think that two college students, not knowing what the Lord had in store, would take a step of faith into a relationship.
After five months of talking, singing a duet together, going on unofficial dates, and getting to know each other, Ethan asked me to be his girlfriend. He wrote me a letter over Christmas break telling me that he was never going to turn away from our relationship, and I am so grateful that he was confident in that decision and that he continues to choose me every single day. We always knew that we wanted to date and pursue a relationship to get married, and to get the chance to see it all come to fruition is so incredible. It seems as though we were once just two kids who fell in love, and now we are engaged and getting married in a few short months.
It has been an incredibly wonderful and crazy journey of loving each other and growing together through all that life has shown us. And now, after nearly three years of dating, we are blessed to be able to expectantly step into this next season of life of being engaged and soon to be married.
As we plan our wedding, we are constantly reminded of how good God is and how he has fulfilled our prayers by giving us the gift of being able to get married in April! We cannot wait to spend our special day with each and every one of you! You all mean the world to us and it would not be the same without you.
With Love, Ri&E
