Our story began when we were both living in Montgomery, AL. Richard was throwing a barbecue at his house. I came over with some of his friends and we had a great night. It wasn't until a month or so later that we decided to go on our first date. The night of our first date, there was a massive storm that popped up out if no where. It caused the power to go out across town. We rode all over Montgomery looking for somewhere we could eat dinner. During that time, we had the most fun laughing and learning that we had a lot more in common than we thought. We discovered that we both love sushi and ended up finding a sushi place in town that still had power and we went there for dinner. We still go on sushi dates all the time in honor of that night. After that night, we spent as much time together as possible. It was easy because we both loved the same tings. In the first month we were together, we went kayaking, camping and hiking, and ate as much Mexican food as we could every Thursday. Our first year together was very special, but we both disliked living in Montgomery. That next February, Richard moved back to Springville, AL and I had to stay in Montgomery to finish out the school year. That summer, I was able to get a job at a school back home and moved back to Lineville, AL. We have been doing long distance ever since, but we spend as much time as possible together. Richard decided to propose in August of 2023. He purchased a ring and as soon as he received it, he popped the question (less than a week later). He said he just couldn't wait. We are both so excited to start our new life together as one and we are even more excited that you have decided to be there with us.
