Transport - How to get to ceremony and reception
Public Transport
Travelling by Train
For those travelling from outside London by train, the London Underground is the fastest method to travel from the main railway stations to the ceremony at Lauderdale House. The nearest Underground station to Lauderdale House is Archway (see below for details). Travelling to Archway takes about 15 minutes from Kings Cross or Euston. You should allow 30 minutes if you are arriving at other main rail stations such as Victoria or Paddington.
Travelling by London Underground (Tube)
If you are travelling by tube to the ceremony at Lauderdale House, the nearest station is Archway (on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line). If you don't fancy the walk from Archway, which is uphill, you can catch a 143, 210 or 263 bus up Highgate Hill instead. It usually takes about 15 minutes to get to Lauderdale House from Archway either by bus or walking.
We will provide buses from the ceremony to the reception at Frederick's Restaurant, but if you need to make your own way to Frederick's, it is near Angel Tube Station (on the Bank branch of the Northern line). It takes 2-3 minutes to walk to Frederick's from Angel Tube station. Head north out of the station towards Camden passage, passing The York pub on your right. Frederick’s is on the right hand side of Camden Passage near Foxtons.
Driving and Parking
ULEZ
If you are driving to our wedding from outside London, you should check whether the £12:50 London ULEZ daily charge applies to your vehicle. ULEZ payments are levied every day to any vehicle within the Greater London boundary (that extends almost as far as the M25) which doesn't meet the emission standards at:
https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/low-emission-zone/your-vehicle-and-lez
London's ULEZ zone charges apply every day of the week, including Sundays.
Parking
There are no parking restrictions on the streets surrounding Frederick’s on Sundays, so parking fairly near to the reception is possible if you can find a place. Side streets off Upper Street and Essex Road to the north of Frederick’s provide the best chance of a free parking space. You should avoid the streets to the south of Frederick’s as the congestion charge zone (the original one for central London) starts at the next major junction with Pentonville Road and City Road.
There is also an NCP car park at the Business Design Centre which is very close to Frederick's.
Free parking near the ceremony at Lauderdale House is also possible as parking restrictions don't usually apply on Sundays. However it can be difficult to find a parking space in Highgate Village on Sundays so you may have to park further away from Lauderdale House to find a space.
