Richard and Samantha met originally at Uncle Kent's Bar in Eagle River, WI in 2012. Samantha was at that time a Steelers fan and went with her maid of honor, Kady, to watch a Steelers v Packers game while on break from school. Almost immediately a fiesty redhead approached her and gave her a hard time for her Steeler apparel & allegiance. She was immediately attracted but then was quickly disappointed by her friend Brianna who told her that he was not single.

Fast forward to 2014 Samantha moved back to the Northwoods after her college graduation. With a low demand for biochemist undergrads in the area and student loans due she found her self bartending at a few local establishments. Once she got settled into a managing position at Dublin Sports Bar and Grill in Conover, WI, she once again found herself in contact with a sarcastic and adorable Rick Vold. Through the course of several years the two became close friends playing horseshoes and hanging out with the same people. Eventually the stars aligned, they became single at the same time and were quickly a couple in love.

The two talked about having children shortly after moving in together in Fall of 2017 and by December of that year they found out that they were expecting! Fjori Isabella Vold was born August 17, 2018 and God blessed them with another daughter, Valkyrie Robyn Vold on September, 29, 2020.

In December of 2021, Richard asked Samantha to be his wife! She may or may not have ruined the surprise.

In the meantime, the two have been working on their forever home, adopted two dogs, built a successful business and have delayed the "big day". In their eyes they have already been husband and wife for a long time -- so now it is just time to make it official!
