Reid and I met in November of 2018 both in our last year of college. We met at Bar None in Edmonton - for those who don't know it is an event put on by the UofA aggies to raise money for STARS. The details are fuzzy on the whole night but one thing was for certain, Reid wouldn't leave me alone..

Reids version:

We met at bar none and you wouldn't leave me alone, you were the stage 9 clinger for sure.

Quickly after that we were making weekend plans every chance we got and spending all our spare time together. 5 months later Reid stated I was exactly the kind of girl he would like to date, to which I asked why he wasn't then. From then on it was official and we were inseparable.

Reids version:

The next few months were great.

In November 2020 Reid bought a house after ALOT of encouragement, although he's not dutch he is somehow just as cheap. I moved in a month later and started working in Red Deer.

Reids version:

I bought a house and it was expensive. I didn't ask Riki to move in, she invited herself.

Reid was adamant he did not want any pets in the house. After ALOT of persistence once again it took me about 4 months to convince him and we got Beau in April 2021. Of course after I agreed to be "financially responsible" for the dog.

Reids version:

We're not putting Beau in this story, thats so tacky he's a dog not a kid.

In May 2023 we planned a trip to Greece. After some engagement talk between us I was certain he was NOT going to propose in Greece. He proved me wrong and asked in a small local restaurant on the edge of the ocean. We told our families and some friends but kept it our little secret until close to the end of our trip.

Reids version:

We got engaged in Greece and saw lots of squid. Delicious food.

There was never any doubt in my mind that I wanted to do life with Reid.
