29 Days To Go!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place just outside the barn in a grassy area, weather permitting. The reception dinner will be held inside the barn but the dance floor for the reception is outside.

Is there parking available?

Yes! Parking is located directly in front of the barn. You will follow a very long gravel road up to the top of the hill where you will see the barn. You should see lots of cars when you pull in, but we will have you park in the grass or on the gravel in front of the barn.

Is there a dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Our venue is a barn that sits on top of a hill surrounded by lots of land. You will be sitting outside on raw wooden benches for the ceremony so we suggest wearing whatever you feel the best in and definitely something that will keep you cool in the KY heat. We just kindly request that you avoid coral as that is the color the bridal party will be wearing and please avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - white, cream, or ivory.

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited space, not everyone will be able to have a plus one. If you received a plus one, your guest's name will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Can I bring my children?

We love all of your kiddos! However, due to limited space, we can only accommodate children that are formally invited on your wedding invitation. If your children are invited, your wedding invitation will be addressed to your entire family, and their names will appear under yours when you RSVP. Otherwise, we encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!

How do I RSVP?

There is an RSVP tab on this website. You will select it and type in the name(s) listed on your invitation. Please select all the names of the people in your party that will be attending. We kindly ask that you RSVP by May 17, 2025.

What if I didn't RSVP in time?

If we do not receive your RSVP by May 17, 2025, we will have to mark you as "Not Attending". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative that we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

What do I do if I can't make it?

We will be so sad that we can't celebrate our big day with you, but we understand that sometimes things get in the way. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

What do I do if I'm late to the ceremony?

If you are late to the ceremony, please do not walk down the aisle and try to find a seat. While we want all of our friends and family there, we would appreciate if you either stand off to the side near the barn or wait to join us at the reception. Thanks for your understanding!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us! We have a photographer and we want her to be able to capture the best pictures of our special day! Once the ceremony is over, you are more than welcome to take and post as many pictures as you'd like. We will have a greenery backdrop that will be the perfect photo opportunity for our guests! Don't forget to share all the photos with us too!

Will dinner be served?

Yes! Dinner will be served at the reception. We will be having pulled pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and buttered corn.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you - get ready to party with the new Mr. and Mrs! We will be serving a variety of beers, wines, and seltzers. Please note, there are very few Ubers that service this area so please plan accordingly. We want everyone to get home safely!

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Yes, it’s #DestinedtobeDetrich !
