Is transportation provided?
We want to let our guests know that there will not be scheduled transportation to and from the hotels and the wedding venue. Please note that rideshares like Uber and Lyft, as well as taxis, are not available in Estes Park. We trust that everyone will be able to arrange their own transportation safely. We encourage carpooling, planning ahead, or coordinating with friends to make sure everyone can enjoy the celebrations without any stress.
Can I bring a plus one?
We’re so grateful for your excitement to celebrate with us! Due to space and planning considerations, we’re only able to accommodate guests who are specifically named on the invitation. If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, their name will be included on the envelope. Unless we’ve already spoken with you directly, we kindly ask that no additional guests be brought. Thank you so much for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate together!
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, but for our wedding day we’re keeping the guest list to those 16 and up so everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration. Our flower girl (age 11) will be the only younger guest joining us as part of the ceremony. We hope this gives parents a great excuse for a night out, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Is there a dress code?
Yes! Our dress code is formal. We encourage suits or dressy separates, and long or midi dresses. Think elegant and polished — but not black tie or prom-level formal. Since we’ll be celebrating in the mountains of Estes Park in May, the weather can be unpredictable (sunny 60s or even a surprise snowstorm!), so layers and outerwear are a great idea.
If you’d like to lean into our vibe, our theme is sunset disco garden party, and guests are welcome to incorporate pinks, oranges, florals, warm tones, or even a little sparkle — totally optional, but encouraged!
Where is the ceremony and reception located?
Both our ceremony and reception will take place at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn.
Black Canyon Inn has multiple event spaces, including The Homestead, so please be sure to follow signs for The Boulders when you arrive. The inn also has separate lodging buildings, but our wedding events will only be held at The Boulders venue.
Everything for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place there, so guests will not need to travel between locations during the event.
Is there parking at the venue?
Parking is available at The Boulders parking lot next to the venue. If the main lot fills up, overflow parking is available near the property entrance. Parking can be somewhat limited, so we recommend carpooling if possible.
Once you arrive on the property, directional signs will guide you to the appropriate parking areas. A drop-off/loading zone near the venue entrance is also available for guests who may need easier access, including those using mobility aids.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes! The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn is an accessible venue. There are accessible paths into the building, and an elevator inside the venue for guests who prefer not to use the stairs.
If you or someone in your party may need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out and we’ll do our best to help make your visit comfortable.
Is there an RSVP deadline?
We kindly ask that all guests RSVP by April 8, 2026.
This deadline allows us to finalize seating, catering, and other important details with our venue. If we do not receive your response by this date, we will unfortunately have to mark you as unable to attend.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your RSVP, please feel free to reach out.
