Riley Bendorf and Sydney McDonald grew up in Janesville, WI. They both ended up going to Janesville Parker High School where they became friends with one another. They both were involved in sports and had many mutual friends that kept them close during high school.

After senior year, they both went off to UW-Platteville...however neither of them knew that they had decided to go to the same college. They bumped into each other shortly after the first week of classes and became close friends throughout college. One night towards the end of their junior year, Sydney finally worked up the courage to tell Riley how she felt. Riley felt the same way.

They began dating shortly after during their senior year. COVID threw a wrench into a few things so they ended up spending way more time with one another than they would have ever anticipated. But thankfully, it just made them closer. After UW-Platteville, they moved to Whitewater so Sydney could pursue her Masters in Social Work at UW-Whitewater and at the same time, Riley began working in Janesville at the Rock Co. Sheriff's office as a correctional officer.

They then settled into Whitewater as Sydney became a mental health therapist at a local clinic in Whitewater. Riley then got promoted to Sheriff's Deputy. Shortly after, Riley asked Sydney to marry him at Wild Hills Winery in Muscoda, WI. where they had taken a weekend getaway to a cabin. She of course said YES!

Which is what brings us to now!
