We are so lucky to be just 2.5 hours from the north entrance in Gardiner, MT. Visit Yellowstone to see unique hydrothermal and geologic features, and Montana wildlife.
While Glacier is a bit of a haul (~4 hours from Butte to West Glacier), it would be an unforgettable trip. Go to Glacier to see alpine meadows, pristine lakes, and, of course, glaciers! Just make sure to check for reservation information online.
After a century of hard-rock mining, Butte is famously home to one of the most productive copper mines of all time. Come learn about Butte's "rich" history in this museum with over 50 buildings and exhibits. They even offer an underground mine tour!

This park is located just 9 miles south of town with over 25 miles of trails for hiking and biking. Start on Milwaukee Road to pass through two railroad tunnels and a 600-foot steel trestle bridge.
Catch a bus tour to see the 90-foot statue overlooking Butte. The view is incredible!
