Are the Ceremony and Reception in two different locations?
Yes. The ceremony will be held on some property outside, and the reception will be held at church close by. We recognize that in August it can be pretty hot, so we don't want to keep you guys out in the sun longer than need be!
Where do I park for the ceremony location?
There will be people showing you where to park once you get to the location.
Why is the ceremony in a backyard?
The goal for our wedding is to make each aspect as significant and special to us as possible, so this spot is actually very special to us! Both of us (at separate times) have lived here, and so much of our relationship grew during these times. But more than that, this is the exact spot where Matthew proposed! Which makes this area even more special to us. What better way to celebrate this land than by dedicating our lives to each other on it!
What should I wear?

Can I bring a Plus+ One?
Due to space capacity, and our desire to keep our wedding small, we kindly ask that only those who received an invitation attend the wedding.
What if it rains?
If the weather does not permit for an outdoor ceremony (though we are praying it will!), both the ceremony and reception will be held at Grace Bible Church, the original location for the reception.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony with my phone or camera?
We politely ask that you do not take any photos during the outdoor ceremony. We are very excited about our wonderful photographer, Liv Douglas, and our amazing videographers, Rachel and Sean, and trust that they will get all the important shots!
So we ask that you keep your personal cameras and phones hidden once the ceremony begins.
BUT, please feel free to snap all the photos you want during the reception! And feel free to share them with us! We'd love to see our day through your eyes.
I'm traveling for the wedding. What Airport should I fly into and where should I stay?
First of all, thank you so much for your love and support for us and being willing to travel for our big day! We SO appreciate you, and that doesn't go unnoticed.
If you are flying in, we recommend that you fly into Charlotte Douglas International Airport. It is ~30 minute drive from Mint Hill.
As for ideas on where to stay, Mint Hill (and the surrounding area) has several hotels as well as airbnb's you can check out, that would still be a reasonable distance to both the ceremony and reception locations.
What kind of food will be served?
Oh, we are SO excited about this.
A coffee truck will be outside the reception location as you arrive, with all drinks available from their menu (on us) for you to refresh and re-energize yourself!
Once the reception starts, there will be serve yourself sections set up in stations including a "make-your-own waffle bar" with all the fun toppings, a charcuterie table, and catering from Chicken Salad Chick.
What time should we expect the reception to last until?
You can expect for the reception to last until around 5:30
Do you guys have a registry?
We do! We are currently registered through Amazon and Target.
