Where do we begin!
Garrett grew up in North Raleigh while Riley grew up outside of Philadelphia. Riley moved down from PA for a job offer in NC while knowing no one & having a global pandemic hit the week after.

We met in July 2020 at a sushi restaurant in Cameron Village. Garrett knew Riley was the one when she ordered a 3 tiered sushi tower with dry ice and blinking lights, while Riley was absolutely humiliated.

Following that date, we quickly went on another few, which then turned into being almost inseparable. In October of 2020, we went to the White Water Center in Charlotte for a weekend away where Garrett asked Riley if she would finally be his girlfriend.

Many highs, many lows, we’ve always come out on top and grateful for the love we have. We went on a trip to Hawaii in March of 2024, which was for work but we extended due to the 14 hour travel each way 😜. The second night of this trip, while Riley was extremely hangry and jet lagged, G insisted they go to the Makupu’u Lookout before dinner for some pictures; his co worker said it was a must-do and if anyone knows Riley, she has an excel spreadsheet of almost every hour planned out, so Garrett had to pencil this activity in strategically.

Long story short, while Riley was looking out to the ocean standing on rocks in a dress and sandals frustrated at Garrett asking him why he let her wear this, she turns around to him on one knee - the most beautiful moment. Garrett had a photographer at the site and a special dinner planned after…. Riley was no longer so hangry after all.

We look forward to celebrating this moment with all of our loved ones and friends, and cannot wait to embark on this next chapter as one!
