Our Wedding

Our Story

Dakota and Riley met at the University of Toledo, where they began dating on June 8th, 2020. They were apartment neighbors for a year, and then decided to make the move to Columbus, OH (for the first time) in 2021. Riley and Dakota only lived in Columbus for one year before they decided to skip down to Northern Kentucky, where they lived and grew closer for nearly 3 years. Somewhere in the mix, they got engaged on May 25, 2024 in the park where they had their first date! Now, Dakota and Riley are moved back to Columbus and settling in for the long-haul with careers and children on the horizon. Together, Dakota and Riley enjoy standup comedy, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants, exploring local parks, and staying active.

Anna is one of Riley's oldest friends. They've been friends since 3rd grade! Anna is kind, gentle, and cares greatly about those around her and her community. Anna played soccer, basketball, and ran track with Riley growing up. They also went to summer camp together and were in the same Girl Scout troop! Anna played softball either with or adjacent to Riley for most of their childhoods as well. When both Anna and Riley transferred to UToledo for sophomore year of undergrad, after tumultuous freshman year experiences elsewhere, they supported each other through growing pains that can only be uniquely handled by a lifelong friend. They both also switched to the same major, Recreational Therapy! They joined the same club and shared clinical experiences that only strengthened their bond. Their friendship will likely last for years to come. Anna lives in the metro-Detroit area and is now a Social Worker. She also looks forward to the end of long-distance with her fiancé, Kade.

Anna Dixon

Amber is one of Riley's best friends. Amber and Riley met their sophomore year of undergrad where they both majored in Recreational Therapy. Amber is funny, thoughtful, and hardworking. At first, Riley was in awe of Amber and her ability to step-up to the plate for responsibilities. Amber was the President of the Recreational Therapy Club and held the office with finesse. Eventually, through several group projects and shared clinical rotations, Amber and Riley became fast friends. Amber and Riley try their best to talk on the phone weekly and make an effort to stay consistently involved in each other's lives. Amber will also answer to nearly any variation of "Ham". She has answered to the likes of "Spiral Cut Ham", "Ham Sammich", and "Hammy". If you want to get Amber talking, ask her about books, crafts, or games! Amber is a Recreational Therapist at the University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital and lives in Toledo full-time with her cat, Doobert, and her boyfriend, Aidan, who is there sometimes too.

Amber Wiederhold

Molly is another one of Riley's oldest friends. They've been friends since 3rd grade as well! Molly is smart, kind, witty, and always down for a good conversation. Molly played soccer, volleyball, and basketball with Riley growing up. They were also in Girl Scouts together and went to summer camp together multiple times! She has a passion for justice and helping people in need. Molly is skilled in navigating conflict and assisting others through theirs. She is highly analytical and always learning new things. She knows English, French, Italian, and is learning Russian! She'll never let you down on a promise and will always be there for you. Molly has previously been an elite youth club volleyball coach and is now working in the legal system as a Document Analyst. She currently lives in southeast Michigan with her family. 

Molly Anderson

Maddie is yet another one of Riley's best friends. Maddie and Riley also met their sophomore year of undergrad in the Recreational Therapy program. Maddie is joyful, full of life, and one of the most understanding people Riley knows. Maddie enjoys gazing at the sky, day or night, laughing, and learning to bake new recipes. And oh boy, you should see Maddie watch a magic show (she loves that stuff). Maddie is a reliable long-distance friend who never lets an important moment pass without joining the group chat conversation, good or bad. If Maddie cares about you, you'll never have to wonder, because Maddie loves people in a big way. She sure knows how to light up a room! Maddie is now an Occupational Therapist and lives off the Atlantic coast of Florida with her husband, Jackson, and their dogs, Cooper, Charley, and Lilly.

Maddie Morfis

Jeff is one of Dakota's best friends. Honestly, what can we NOT say about Jeff. Jeff is funny, intelligent, and does not need any more compliments because he is easily one of the most self-assured people Dakota and Riley know. He is also the founding member of the Kevin Jones Fan Club (free to join in case anyone is wondering). He enjoys high quality meals, high quality movies, high quality clothes, and high quality company, which makes the happy couple feel very special. Jeff also enjoys cooking and he has been known to help Dakota improve and come up with new recipes for meals. Jeff works in sales and real estate where he introduces others to the finer things in life. Jeff grew up in Northern Kentucky, which is where he currently resides, but he has also lived for long stretches in Chicago and New York City. 

Jeffrey Wondrely

Parker is Riley's oldest younger brother. Parker is goofy, smart, and would be the first to pick you up out of a roadside ditch, regardless of distance. Parker may always be cracking jokes, but don't let that fool you. While he's taught Riley all she needs to know about seeing comedy in everything, he's also very sensitive, extremely caring, and emotionally intelligent. Parker makes an effort to stay in touch with all family members, regularly calling his parents, his siblings, and his grandparents for life updates. Growing up, you could catch Parker and Riley playing PS2 together as they enjoyed Crash Bandicoot and Speed Racer. Parker currently lives in Chicago with one of his best friends, Drew, and he works in marketing downtown. Both Riley and Dakota value their relationship with Parker very much.

Parker Jones

Carson is the younger of Riley's two younger brothers. Carson is highly intelligent, sensitive to himself and to others, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Carson is known to perform thoughtful acts of kindness for those around him and he has vast amounts of empathy for others. Carson is a student at Purdue University majoring in Data Science, but he will not fall into the category of math-inclined individuals who lack people skills! He is a loyal friend, a diligent worker, and knows how to have a good time without going overboard. A cautious trait his siblings could arguably use more of (kidding, kidding). Growing up, you could catch Carson and Riley playing Skylanders and Disney Infinity on the WiiU. Plus, fun facts, Riley taught Carson how to ride a bike and she's coached his baseball teams! Riley and Dakota are overjoyed to have Carson as a member of the Wedding Party.

Carson Jones

Aaron is one of Dakota's oldest and best friends. Aaron and Dakota met at Ohio State University their sophomore year of college when Dakota was briefly transferred from UT. Which, I mean, go Rockets, but we'll give a big O-H to this friendship! Aaron is kind, smart, and always down to help a friend. Aaron may be the only person who can try to rival Dakota's love of the gym and all things fitness and meal prep. Don't get it twisted though, Aaron rivals nobody at getting things off high shelves! This guy is 6'3"!  Aaron likes hiking, exploring new places, and eating. Dakota and Riley have witnessed Aaron eat ungodly amounts of food in one sitting. He should be a professional! If you're trying to strike up conversation with Aaron, bring up New Girl (or nearly any show). Aaron is an Aerospace Engineer and working in real estate. He lives in the Denver, CO area with his girlfriend, Bailey, and their dog, Lou.

2:00pm- Feel free to arrive!The ceremony will not have started yet, but you're welcome to hang out in our climate-controlled reception space until the ceremony begins! You can find your seats in the reception space and place your belongings at your tables at this time.2:30pm- The Ceremony!Be sure to stop back at the beginning of the aisle after the ceremony for a personal greeting and huge THANK YOU from the Bride and Groom!3:00pm- Cocktail Hour!Family of the Bride and Groom, as well as the Wedding Party, will be taking their photos at this time. Grab some small snacks and drinks and mingle to kick off the evening!4:00pm- Reception Entrances! Cheer as the parents of the newlyweds, the Wedding Party, and the Bride and Groom themselves are introduced and take their seats!4:15pm- Dinner!4:45pm-Speeches and Dances! Hear from the parents, as well as the Maids of Honor and Best Man. The Father-Daughter, Mother-Son, and Newlyweds first dance will follow.5:30pm- Dance! We can't wait to see all your best moves! There will also be games available to play for when you need a rest, and cake served around 6pm.8:45pm- Newlywed Exit!Head out the front doors and prepare for the Bride and Groom's reception exit!9:00pm- End of Reception! At this time, you can choose to freshen up at your hotel before the Afterparty, head to the Afterparty location, or head home! No matter what you choose, the happy couple are so grateful you came!10:00pm- Afterparty! Head to the afterparty location, World of Beer, for a casual, celebratory end to the night. The Bride and Groom will be changing into sweatpants and invite you to do the same, if you'd like!12:00am- Final Sendoff! Go get some rest and recover from the special day!
