Q + A

What will parking be like?

As guests enter the venue, representatives will be directing traffic and showing guests where to park. Guests are allowed to leave their vehicles overnight, but vehicles must be off the property no later than 11:00 A.M. the following day.

How will we know where to go once we arrive?

The ceremony will be held in the woods, some distance from the site of parking/the reception. The venue has offered shuttle service via two 6-passenger EV golf carts and one 8-passenger Ranger. These will be available 1 hour prior to the ceremony, as well as to be used to bring guests back to the reception area. Drivers are provided. In the event a guest chooses to walk to the ceremony site, signs are posted showing directions.

What is the smoking/tobacco policy?

Smoking is allowed on-site ONLY near the fire pit. Use of cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, etc anywhere else on the property is strictly prohibited and will forfeit the security deposit immediately. Use of chewable tobacco should be used with caution and leave no trace. Any receptacle used for chewing tobacco should be immediately discarded after use.

Is there lodging on-site?

Unfortunately there is no lodging at the venue itself, but there are three hotels within 15-20 minutes of the venue, as well as rent-by-the-night properties in the area.

What should I wear?

The theme of the wedding is Viking, but we don’t expect anyone to dress in the garb of the Northmen. Instead, please feel free to come dressed semi-formal.

Is this wedding kid-friendly?

We ask that children be left with a babysitter/grandparents/other guardians. In the event that no childcare can be found, please let us know ahead of time. However, we cannot guarantee a seat or a meal for any children in attendance.

What happens if it rains?

In the event of rain, the venue will offer complementary clear plastic ponchos to any guest who would like one. The ceremony site is uncovered, using only a tree canopy for shelter. Should there be an extreme weather event such as a thunderstorm, guests will all be notified as to what the action plan will be.
