Our Wedding

The summer of 2015 may not have been memorable for most, but for Heleana and Riley it was the summer they fell in love. While Riley was holding down a job at the Semiahmoo Golf Resort as a "club boy", he spent his time chatting with his colleague, Ian or reading books while others golfed. On Heleana's first day as the new clubhouse front desk lady, Riley introduced himself and they chatted for a moment before he Usain-Bolted back to the cart room where he promptly told Ian, "I am going to marry that girl one day!" Ian cringed and laughed, Riley realized that he had already forgotten how to pronounce her name, but little did anyone know, 6 years later, Riley would propose to Heleana. The two of them bonded over how little golf they played, their sense of humor, and the surprisingly large amount of towels that needed to be folded despite golf being literally a walk in the park. Once they started dating, the summer led to driving golf carts through the sprinklers, picking blackberries and baking pie before jumping into Lake Padden....swimsuits were optional. While Heleana and Riley have since made many mistakes together (like thinking grad school was a fun idea, getting a crazy dog, and moving to West Seattle with the bridge closed) one good decision they made, was deciding to get married. Please come celebrate their love with them on May 21st at the Grand Willow Inn and bring your biggest smile.

We want to reassure you all that your health and safety is our priority. With that in mind, COVID-19 and the variants continue to pose a threat to our own health and those around us, however recent guidelines have changed. At this time, following CDC and State of Washington guidelines, masks will be optional for fully vaccinated individuals. We will continue to monitor local health guidelines as we approach the wedding date and update this page as needed.
