We met 6 years ago at a house party in Cedar Falls. We were both in college at the time as Matt attended UNI and I was at Hawkeye Community College. Through mutual friends, we ended up hanging out nearly every day. It took me a while to say yes, but after months of him asking, I finally agreed to be Matt’s girlfriend 8/15/2019. This is exactly 6 years from our wedding date. We moved to Des Moines shortly after where I attended Drake University and Matt started working full-time in the golf management industry.

We went through many obstacles together, but always came out on top. We adopted Charlie, our 7 year old fur child February 20, 2021 who has kept us on our toes throughout the years to say the least. We have traveled to multiple different states including Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, Florida, and Missouri as well as out of the country to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Throughout college, change of jobs, and change of cities, we have stayed a United front. After 3.5 years in an apartment, we bought our first home together in September 2023.

We are truly each other’s best friends, ride or dies and soulmates. We could not ask for a better support system. We are so ready to get married with our loved one’s by our sides.
