Riley & Eric the night of their dating anniversary

Riley and Eric met during their second year of college at GVSU through a mutual friend. They hit it off upon meeting and coincidently, they found out they were living in the same dorm building. Football games and lots of hangouts with their friends blossomed into a beautiful relationship! On September 21st, 2019, Eric asked Riley to be his girlfriend on the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids after a nice dinner date.

The weekend they got engaged was a family trip to Eric's cabin in Caseville, MI. Riley's parents, brother and his girlfriend came up along with Eric's parents, sister and her husband. It was a gloomy, rainy, and windy day at first. Then, the sun popped out and Eric decided it was time to "go for a walk down the beach and have some drinks"! All the kids took a walk down the beach where Eric got down on one knee! Eric asked Riley to marry him on August 26th, 2023. And now they have a new date: October 26th, 2024!

Riley and Eric have a lot in common from their love for rock 'n roll music (especially Greta Van Fleet), sports, fitness, snowmobiling, and lake life. They are best friends, love to laugh together, and value quality time with one another. They are beyond excited to begin this new adventure in their love story!
