In the midst of their Junior year at Indiana University, Rily and Amy found themselves at the Blue Bird Bar, enveloped in the music of their beloved cover band Rod Tuff and the Bench Press, unaware of each other's presence. Post-concert, while Amy intended to head to Kilroy's Sports, the capricious rains altered her plans, leading her and her girlfriends instead to Brothers Bar and Grill. Once upstairs, they struck up a conversation with a group of guys known by Amy's friend. Across the bustling bar, Amy's gaze met that of a stranger, who turned out to be Rily. Amy fondly likes to recount it as love at first sight.

Rily ventured over, engaging Amy in conversation and even treating them to a round of drinks. During their chat, Rily mentioned recognizing her from a law class they shared. Before the night could unfold further, Amy was whisked away by her friends to the next bar, leaving poor Rily high and dry without her digits.

Love stricken, Amy embarked on a failed Instagram stalking mission the next day. Nevertheless, fate intervened as three days later, Rily slid into Amy's DMs, requesting her number. From then on, their story unfurled seamlessly.

Upon their graduation from Indiana University in 2020, Amy pursued culinary school in Colorado, while Rily opted for grad school in Bloomington. Eventually, Rily caved and decided to join Amy in Colorado. Come summer of 2023 on their 4 year anniversary Rily surprised Amy with a heartfelt proposal at Coldwater Lake, surrounded by loved ones.

Their journey now pinnacles in anticipation of their forthcoming wedding on October 5th, an occasion that will unite them with cherished family and friends. Talk about a love story that began with a little rain, a lot of missed connections, and one epic Instagram DM.
