Palak, deeply smitten by our Ripal Rani, knew he wanted to marry her during their romantic getaway to Miami after their one-year anniversary. Palak, a baseball enthusiast, had taken Ripal to the Marlins Game during their Miami trip. It was after the game during dinner when they were talking about their lives prior to meeting each other that Palak realized this was the girl he wanted to marry. He immediately began working on designing a ring. The proposal was planned for October originally. During a nice dinner at PLANTA in NYC, excited to see plans unfold the next day … another notification illuminated Palak’s screen, this time it was NOT a match. The date would have to be rescheduled, you know, shubh muhurat and all.

Ripal, unaware of the October proposal plan, found herself growing impatient, wondering if she'd ever receive a proposal. Dramabaaz I tell you! However, little did Ripal know fate had a different timeline in mind. On a beautifully cold day in November at Gantry State Plaza Park, with the city skyline view as a backdrop and the sun setting, Ripal was lured into the park under the pretense of a photo shoot. To her astonishment, she walked onto a red carpet adorned with roses and candles, the center was a circle of flowers and a dazzling "Marry Me" sign and of course Bollywood instrumentals playing to set the mood. Palak got down on one knee, surrounded by immediate family and close friends, and popped the “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi?” in a way more romantic way than anyone anticipated. With tears of joy, she said yes! No Bollywood movie goes without a twist of course! Here’s ours! Ripal, in a bold move, got down on one knee herself and reverse proposed to Palak creating a magical moment with two resounding "yes!" responses.
