More than five years ago, fate decided to play matchmaker through a simple swipe on Bumble. Our very first date was at Marine Drive — the sea breeze in the air, city lights shimmering, and conversations flowing endlessly. We didn’t even realize when six hours had slipped by. But soon, fate had other plans. Barely a month later, the world came to a standstill as Covid struck, and the entire nation went into lockdown. What followed was a year and a half of long distance. It wasn’t easy, but having each other made those uncertain times a blessing in disguise. In 2022, we finally moved back to Bombay and picked up where we left off. Every moment together felt right — like we were finally home. After countless dates, unforgettable experiences, and our shared love for food, we knew we were meant for each other. On a trip to Goa, destiny gave us yet another twist: both of us had secretly planned a proposal. Riya went first, leaving Ashish in complete shock — a moment perfectly captured in the photo above. Moments later, Ashish pulled out his own ring. Our journey has always been like a ship we steer together. Riya is the spark in Ashish’s steady world, the laughter in the quiet moments. Ashish is the calm to Riya’s chaos, the anchor when the waters get rough. Together, we’ve built a home in each other — a place where every day ends in love, peace, and gratitude. 26th February was the day we serendipitously swiped right — and as fate would have it, that’s the day we now begin our forever. 1. Explore the VineyardsNashik is known as the Wine Capital of India. A visit to Sula Vineyards, Nipha Winery, or Soma Vina Village is a must. You can enjoy vineyard tours, wine tastings, wood-fired pizza and beautiful views of the rolling hills. (Just go to Sula if you are short on time) 2. Visit Trimbakeshwar TempleOne of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Trimbakeshwar Temple is about 30 km from the city and is both spiritually and architecturally significant. 3. Stroll Along Godavari GhatsThe Ramkund and Godavari Ghats are culturally significant and make for a serene evening walk. This is also where the Kumbh Mela takes place every 12 years. 4. MTDC Boat Club (Gangapur Dam)A scenic spot on the backwaters of Gangapur Dam. Perfect for an evening outing with family and friends. You can try boating, jet skis, banana rides, lake cruises, or simply relax at the Boat Café while enjoying beautiful sunset views. It’s a fun mix of adventure and relaxation. 5. Trek to Pandav Leni CavesThese ancient Buddhist caves date back to the 3rd century BC. A short climb (takes about 1 hour one way) offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills. 6. Relish Nashik’s CuisineNashik is a food lover’s delight. Some restaurants worth exploring:1. Misal Pav - Grape Embassy and Peruchi Wadi are worth the short drive for their ambience and food.
