ACTIVITY DOWNTOWN: If you have time to hang out downtown, check out the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). This is a family friendly museum filled with pieces from artists like Diego Rivera and even Vincent van Gogh and so many more. The DIA's collection is among the top six in the United States, with more than 65,000 works.
For out of town guests, adult tickets at $18 and youth (6-17) tickets are $8 and kids under 5 years old are free!
Kensington Metropark
Great place to take your kids. Visit the nature center, petting farms, go for a walk or hang out along the water. Daily parking pass is $10 per vehicle.
