In 2017, my dad passed, and it was very unexpected. It was a shock to all my siblings and I.
Going into planning my wedding it has had it sad moments as I’m planning things that he cannot be a part of physically. I plan to make sure he has a spot front row at my wedding.
I met Robert and his family a year after my dad passed. I’m not sure if they even know that but having them as a support system as a parental figure in my life has been a huge help in healing.
I do wish my dad could have met Robert, but I know my dad knew I needed him and his family in my life, especially at the time.
