The first time that we hung out was after homecoming junior year of high school. We had known each other since middle school and had hung out at a birthday party of a mutual friend with the occasional text before, but this was our first time intentionally hanging out with each other.

On October 21 of 2016, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. We have experienced many milestones and gone on many adventures since then!

Our first trip to the Georgia Aquarium together! It was for Emily's 18th birthday, we got to swim in the Ocean Voyager exhibit and got to see whale sharks and manta rays up close. The aquarium became a special place for us, and ends up being the place we get engaged at MANY years later!

Prom - Senior Year

We moved to Charlotte and went to college.

We moved into a tiny 1 bedroom apartment and got our first cat Milo in August of 2019. One month later we got our second cat Simba. They were such a perfect addition to our lives, they make us laugh at least once a day.

We went on our first "just us" vacation. Universal Studios was a blast! We accidentally timed our vacay with the opening of a new rollercoaster so the park was packed. We got so many frozen butterbeers during this trip.

We continue to put each other and our relationship first. Prioritizing dates and supporting each other on our goals. Fun fact: We LOVE going to the movies! $5 Tuesday date nights at AMC Theaters makes it fun and affordable.

We got engaged! At the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA. Exactly 7 years after we had started dating.
