Rob and Roberta met through a dating app called Hinge. At first, they were both unsure about how they felt about the name situation but decided to go for it because Rob found Roberta very pretty and Roberta found Rob very cute. Roberta's roommates at the time thought it wouldn't work out because Rob's profile talked about his love of cheese, and Roberta's profile failed to mention she was vegan. Regardless, they met at Diesel Cafe, a local coffee shop in Boston. They both ordered the same tea and chatted their hearts out.

As if the names weren't enough, they found out that their birthdays were only four days apart. Rob learned about Roberta's cheeseless diet but decided on the spot to forgive her for it. Many fun dates later, the pandemic came. Roberta, an ICU nurse, thought she would for sure be the cause of Rob's untimely death and asked Rob if he was willing to take the risk. In a most romantic gesture, Rob accepted and their relationship flourished. A year or so later, alive and well, they decided to move in together. They went on many adventures, traveling the world, biking, hiking, and meeting each other's loved ones. Then, one day, Roberta decided she had enough of the east coast's dark and gloomy winters and decided to move to California, and Rob agreed.

A few months later, they packed Rob's trusty Honda and drove to the golden state of California. Roberta greatly improved her driving skills on the open roads of Oklahoma and was an expert by the time they reached the San Francisco bay. It ended up being a great decision for both of them, even though they both missed their families immensely. Rob and Roberta rented a cute house and made it their own, making lemon cakes from their lemon tree and exploring all that California has to offer.

Then one September they went on a trip to Japan to celebrate their birthdays. While having a relaxing time in the hot spring town of Hakone, Rob proposed to Roberta on a hike to a waterfall. Roberta was so shocked it took her an uncomfortably long time to say yes. But don't be fooled. She was ecstatic. And now, they are planning their wedding and cannot wait to celebrate with their family and friends.
