Our first date. Robert and I were set up by our mutual friends and together we went on a double date to the safehouse afterward we explored along the riverwalk and found ourselves at the Bastille day festival. It was such a perfect night! (shout out to Dennis for being the one to set us up. We are forever grateful)

Date to the museum. At this point, I had been spending most of my time at Robert's house in Bay View with his roommate and cat (Miss you Phara). Robert lived less than ten 10 minutes from Alverno and my job at the time so It was just way too convenient for me. Over time I was practically living there and only going to my parent's house to get the essentials.

Our first road trip/mini getaway together.

Robert and I move out and into our own place closer to Robert's family. I then study abroad for 3 weeks.

Traveling abroad was an amazing experience but it was by no means easy. When I arrived my phone was not working properly even though the carrier informed us that they would accommodate our needs as I was traveling to China. Those first couple of days I was a wreck because I couldn't keep in contact with the person that means the most to me. Luckily my professor allowed me to use his phone a couple of times and we figured out other ways to communicate. This trip was crucial to our love story because that distance from your person puts everything into perspective. It made us realize what it's like to be apart and how deeply that hurts. It makes you never want to leave that person's side again. It makes you truly realize how irreplaceable this love is. Being away was hard but not being able to call when I needed to talk was excruciating. However, reuniting after this trip was the warmest and most euphoric feeling I have ever experienced. I am grateful for that.
