Nearly a decade ago, on June 6th, 2015 at 643 Sherrill Rd (our now apartment) in Sherrill NY. It was the 2nd and sadly last annual Catalina Wine Mixer. A 19 years young Maddie was joining her lifelong BFF to the festivities and Sherrill for the first time. As 21 years young Bobbie spotted this pretty charismatic girl he'd never seen before, he made sure introductions were made and numbers were exchanged. Neither of us knew that from that day on we'd be in each other's lives forever.

The following week of our meeting, Bobbie's favorite band, Moe. just so happened to be playing a party in the park show in Rochester, Maddie's stomping grounds, and we proceeded to have another amazing night together.

After that, then began the endless texting back and forth, turned to late night Facetimes, turned to planning our next trips to see one another.

There is about 100 miles between Rochester and Sherrill, and for a rough 6 years on and off, long distance is all we knew. If we had to guess, between the almost now 10 years combined, we've done the trip at-least 1,000 times.

We'd even set up dates at the midway point on the thruway, where full circle moment many years later, Bobbie met Maddie's Aunt to pick up her grandparents wedding ring.

On October 6th, 2023 Bobbie pulled off the surprise engagement of a lifetime. As Maddie had planned a fall foliage hike in the Adirondacks, little did she know Bobbie had bigger plans. On the top of Cascade Mountain, with Titan by our side, he popped the question.

In this decade together, we haven't just learned the ins and outs of one another, and our loved ones. We've grown intertwined into the adults, couple, and family we are today.
