Our story began through a work connection—Rob’s company, Outliant, was hired to collaborate with the company Ashlie was working for at the time in Austin, Texas. We kept hearing from colleagues how we’d “really hit it off,” and as fate would have it, we finally met at a company boat day. That day, we spent hours laughing over travel stories and bonding over everything two 20-somethings living in Austin love to talk about.

The very next day, we went on our first date. What started as a quick dinner turned into a pool party where Rob introduced Ashlie to all of his friends, followed by drinks, dinner, and a full night out exploring the city. From that moment on, our connection was undeniable.

After just four months of dating, Ashlie left her job and joined Rob to work on a small women’s health startup Outliant was launching, called Winona.

Over the next year, we grew closer as we shared countless adventures. Rob proposed during a beautiful hike in the mountains of North Carolina, and just one week later, we moved to Puerto Rico to start our life together. For the past three years, we’ve been building a home in our island paradise. During this time, Winona has grown, and we’ve had the privilege of working with colleagues who have become some of our closest friends. We’ve also traveled extensively, exploring Europe and Asia, and this year, we celebrated a major milestone by buying our first home.

Our story wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Mollie. A rescue pup Ashlie adopted during her senior year of college, Mollie quickly became Ashlie’s loyal partner in crime. When Rob came into the picture, Mollie fell just as in love with him as Ashlie did. Ever since, her life has been filled with beach walks, bones, and endless cuddles—a true reflection of the love that defines our little family.

We’ve become so much more than life partners—each other’s best friends, teammates in work and adventure, and a constant source of encouragement and love.

Now, we’re bringing our Caribbean love story full circle by getting married in the Dominican Republic. We’re so excited to share this special moment with all of you and give our friends and family a taste of island life. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
