We met at Louisiana Tech University at the Association of Baptist Students (ABS - similar to BCM just smaller). There was an orientation party going on and we met while playing volleyball outside. It didn't take long for us to become great friends since we both were heavily involved in ABS events, activities, and worship services. After a few months, we really got to know each other really well around our fellow friends. We knew there was some type of attraction between us that was different than everyone else. Thomas was eventually ready to act. In December, there was one day that I, RobiDonna, was asked out on a date (in person - no texting over the phone type mess). It was something I will never forget because, oh my goodness, that takes so much courage to do these days. I admired him greatly for asking me out in person and specifically labeling it as a date - because many men like to say, "let's go hang out together" or something like that. Anyway, at the time when he asked me out, I was not mentally ready. There was still a lot of emotional baggage, stress, and mess I was trying to work out with myself. I told him that I could see the connection we had between us was strong and I in fact was very attracted to him. I asked if he would wait on me until I was mentally ready for a relationship. And guys, he waited. This guy is the most patient man in the world. The whole time that he waited, he never once pressured me, pushed me, NOTHING but encouragement and understanding. He ended up having to wait around 6 months before I was ready! Our first official date was in the beginning of June. We ate Freddy's Burgers and walked around a nearby park. It was a magical time.It is still a magical time. It has been such a pleasure to get to know more and more about each other every day. And y'all, let me tell you, a relationship focused, centered, and anchored around Jesus Christ is the BEST kind of relationship out there. We are so thankful to God to have such a focused, Christ-centered, Godly relationship. We both try to encourage each other in our pursuit of holiness and living for God daily. We are so ready to become one so that we can spend the rest of our days glorifying Christ in and through our marriage! We are so excited!

Caroline is my strongest, longest best friend. We met in 8th grade and have been besties ever since. Through thick and thin this girl has stuck by my side through it all - even in my most cringiest stages of life haha! We have watched each other grow up and I am so thankful to have such a lovely, Christ-focused bestie!!

Wriley was the first sister I gained and I couldn't have been more thrilled to have her officially part of the family. She came into my life when I was only in middle school. Everytime she and Jerrett were home, she would love to ask all about what was going on in my life and I would always have so much to tell her. I felt so close with her growing up, it was if she'd been my sister since I was born!

Sarah came into my life when I was a youngster in high school. She and Rett were so adorable together. She was a joy to be around and I felt so compfortable around her. Sarah inspired me to be my own person and never be afraid to be myself! She and I have so many fun memories together with the family. I was so excited when she became my official sister -  because for so long, I felt as if we were already sisters. It was good to finally label her as my sister!

Hannah has been there there for me through so much. We quickly became besties in high school during a summer choir tour trip. Her personality and character is so unique and beautiful that it's hard not to stay close by her side. Once you're friends with Hannah, you're friends forever. She has always stuck up for me and has given me such good, Godly advice through the years. I am so thankful to have such a sweet, lovely person that I can still to this day, call one of my very best friends.

Need Godly advice, Godly fellowship, Godly friendship? Look no further because Hannah is the one to go to! We met at the Association of Baptist Students while I was attending Louisiana Tech University. I have seen her growth in her faith in Jesus Christ and it is so beautiful to see. She is a sweet, special friend that I know I can always go to for prayer, love, or simply someone to talk to. She is a fun, jovial spirit that always makes me laugh when I am with her. I'm excited that she is in my wedding and that I am in hers! EEK!

Hannah Bergeron

Have you ever had a friendship where you became besties right away? This is what happened with Hope and I. We met the first day I solo traveled to Costa Rica. I was so nervous and scared being in another country by myself, but as soon as she greeted me at our host home, I felt a wave of comfort that never left. The saying, "to know her is to love her" couldn't be more true for this girl. She is the most down-to-earth, sweetest, most thoughtful, caring and loving person I have ever met! She goes out of her way so much for others. Her love for others is strong and long lasting. No matter what is going on in life or how much time passes, you can always count on Hope to be a lifelong cheerleader for you!

Talk about a ray of sunshine!! Leah is such a fun, sweet friend to be around. Every time I find myself with her, she keeps me smiling and having a good time. I have not known Leah for too long, but when I am with her, I feel as if I have known her for ages. I feel so comfortable and free to be myself with her. I am happy to know her and continue this sweet friendship.

Andrew is my slightly younger but much shorter brother. I can't remember a time growing up where weren't together. He has been my best friend since day one. We always end up getting up to mischief or just taking up random projects. I am very proud of the young man he is turning out to be. It has been an amazing experience to see the Lord mature and grow him. And I wouldn't be where I am without him. When I started to think of who I would want to be my best man it was a no brainer. It had to be Andrew.

Andrew Gordon

I can't remember a time when Timothy wasn't looking out for me. As the oldest of my brothers he took it upon himself to make sure we were always behaving. I remember one time that he duct taped my younger brother Andrew to the wall with a juice box and tv remote to make sure he wouldn't be bouncing around and making a mess while mom and dad were away. Timothy is such a loving and caring soul and he wears his heart on his sleeve. I am very proud of all he is accomplishing and cannot wait to see what the Lord has for him in the future.

Timothy Gordon

My older brother Matthew is an original. He is the artist of the family and will talk your ear off about anything and everything that he has developed an interest in. I can't remember a specific instance of being upset with Matthew growing up. He has always been a laid back and chill guy. I remember being content to just sit next to him and watch him play video games and let him explain them to me, and he never once got frustrated when I did so. I am proud of Matthew for the risks he has taken in order to accomplish his goals and I am so excited to see what other ventures he will set out on next.

Matthew Gordon

I honestly don't remember when Ethan and I began to become good friends, I think I was around 13. But it almost seems like he went from a complete stranger to one of my best friends in a flash. Ethan is one of those friends who is always there for you. Since I was maybe 13 or 14 there have been few days where he, Caleb, and I haven't texted and joked around. He is a good friend, but most importantly he has been a good witness to me. He's someone who's heart is sold out to the Lord, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the impact that he has had on my life.

Ethan Wilkes

I met Caleb around the same time I met Ethan. Caleb is the kind of guy that will get the whole group cracking up. Caleb, Ethan, and I have been close for nearly a decade now. I think Caleb was more help than anyone else in helping me get out of my shell growing up, and for that I am very thankful.

Oh goodness what to say about Devon. Devon is the life of the party. There is never a dull moment with Devon around. But more importantly Devon is just an amazingly loyal friend. He's the kind of guy who will drop everything to help a buddy out. I am especially thankful to Devon for helping me come out of my shell in my early college time. I miss him now that he's graduate, but we've remained in touch and I am so excited that he is going to be one of my groomsmen.

Isaiah is just a really cool guy. He's such a genuine and laid back dude, and anyone who knows him will tell you how fun he is to be around. Isaiah has helped and inspired me a lot in my walk with the Lord, and for that I am very thankful. I am thankful to know Isaiah and to be able to call him a friend, ping pong rival, and loyal brother in Christ.

Probably the best place to go to if you're wanting to see what 70% of people in Louisiana enjoy - hunting, fishing, boating, etc. They also have a great gift section (for all the ladies that might not be interested in all the fishing rods and pocket knives they have to offer).

Bass Pro Shops

This is a great outdoor shopping outlet. It is most "crowded" on the weekends. I would suggest going during the day because it can get a little sketchy at night. One of our favorite stores to go to is Rocket Fizz. It has all types of cool candies and knick-knacks. There's also a movie theatre, clothing stores, dessert eateries, and much more!

Louisiana Boardwalk

If you're flying in, I would suggest renting a car if you have the means for it. There are Uber drivers out there, but you might have to wait a while - depends on the time of day and how many people are Uber driving. I would not take a Taxi - they're gross and some drive recklessly. Do not take the bus unless you're desperate. The buses in Shreveport are tacky.
