We met online in 2015 when Edgar was in Manhattan, Kansas in Veterinary School and Robin was living in Newton, Kansas. We didn’t have a lot in common but quickly learned that opposites attract. We dated long distance for about a year while Edgar finished his studies. After he graduated we moved in together in Wichita, Kansas. Where Edgar got his first job as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. We dated for over 4 years before Edgar popped the question at our favorite place to be, Santa Fe Lake in Augusta, Kansas. The waterfall there always made us feel relaxed. It is our “happy place”, as we call it. The proposal was a complete surprise. Edgar had all of Robin’s family there as well as his mom and Robin’s photographer friends to sneak pictures. The engagement occurred right before the first lock down in Wichita due to COVID. We decided to have a long engagement, about a year and a half long, in order to make sure we can have the wedding of our dreams with (hopefully) no restrictions. We cannot wait to officially be Dr. and Mrs. Ocampo this September.
