Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels

We reserved blocks at the Claridge House Hotel and Sofitel Hotel (see travel tab). Both hotels are within walking distance of the wedding ceremony venue and reception venue.

Are you providing transportation between the recommended hotels and the wedding venue?

As the recommended hotels are within walking of both our ceremony venue and reception venue, we are not providing group transportation.

Is there parking?

Complimentary valet parking will be provided at the Racquet Club for those guests who decide to drive.

Are there any events between the wedding ceremony and reception?

We recommend that you take this time to see the wonderful city of Chicago. The venue is on Michigan Avenue, aka the "Magnificent Mile," which is Chicago's shopping district. It is across the street from the John Hancock Building, one of the tallest in Chicago and North America, which has an observation deck. Another option is the Museum of Contemporary Art, which is also within walking distance. All of these locations are a short ride back to your hotel or the reception venue.

What airport should I fly into?

Either O'Hare or Midway will work. All events will be in downtown Chicago.

What is the weather like in June in Chicago?

Chicago has lovely weather in June. The average temperature is likely to be between 70°F and 80°F (21°C to 26°C).

What is the dress code for the wedding?

The dress code for the wedding is formal for the church ceremony and black tie for the reception. In other words, you don't need to wear a tux or floor length dress to the church if you don't want to, but you should wear one to the reception venue. All events will be held indoors.

Please note the Racquet Club requires all men to wear a jacket and tie.

Should I rent a car?

We do not recommend renting a car if you plan to stay in either the recommended hotels or downtown Chicago. Ubers are easy to come by and the "L" subway system connects downtown Chicago.

Are there any goodbye events on Sunday, 29 June 2025?

Yes! We are having coffee and small bites at the Claridge House between 9:30 and 12:00. We would love to say goodbye to you all so please drop by!
