At first our worlds collided serendipitously, but not necessarily in the most acceptable way. We both felt as if we were introduced into each other's lives at the most critical time. A time when we needed a sense of purpose. Both still hurting, and very much in the healing stage of our previous unhealthy relationships, we couldn’t understand more what one another was feeling. While vulnerable opportunities were everywhere, we both felt safe and respected at all times allowing one another to process all the feelings good and bad at our own pace. In today’s world it seems as if those kind of personal qualities are becoming harder and harder to find.

It was a cold and rather routine March here in West Michigan in 2018. My cousin Rebecca, and her fiance, had just moved into their new apartment and asked me to come over. After I got there she asked me if I cared if one of her close friends stopped by. We had no clue that our lives would forever be different. What was originally suppose to be a quick introduction turned into something we both thought we’d never find.

The rest of our story goes as you’d expect. We began spending more and more time together and eventually became exclusive. We created countless memories over the next several years before building a house together in 2022. A once in a lifetime companionship, that for a lot of people is just a dream, became a realization for us. What we have has always felt natural, genuine, and unconditional. We’ve already created the most amazing memories from weekend trips, to visiting her family in California, to spending two weeks traveling all over Colombia. “She is my forever and the thought of living my life without her was unbearable. So, I knew what I had to do!” Our lives forever changed for a second time, on February 29th, 2024 while on vacation in Florida. This day she said yes, and our dreams were coming true!

We’re getting married because our love story has been nothing short of magical. We’ve found in each other a best friend, a confidant, and a partner in all of life’s adventures. We share the same values, dreams, and a deep love that grows stronger with every passing day. After 7 years together, we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on June 7th 2025.
